Miketendo Commentary:
Wow. I really was gone for a while. In the time between my last update and this one, we’ve learned a lot about Brawl. We’ve gained confirmation on a handful of Smash veterans, seen some truly awesome Final Smashes (Giga Bowser FTW), gained a deeper understanding of just how we’ll be controlling our favorite contenders, and had the living shit teased out of us with the mysterious new “???” section. I would also like to pat my back a little over another succesful character prediction - Samurai Goroh. Ok, maybe he isn’t a full-fledged roster fighter, but he will be tearing it up from time to time. My back-patting was cut a little short when Smashville confirmed that neither Tom Nook nor K.K. Slider would be doing anything more than scurrying around in the background. A bit of a bummer, but they do make appearances, slight as they may be.
The catching up is far from over. I’m not sure if you heard, but a little event known as E3 went on in my absence. I was fortunate enough to catch a live feed of the event, but I didn’t have the time or ambition to come back early to report on it. You can expect a breakdown of Nintendo’s press conference (and maybe even some vacation pictures) soon!
